Program of the tours

AREZZO WINE TOUR	H:9.00	Departure.
	H:10.00	Arrive to Arezzo. Visit of the city which begins with a tour of the antique medieval walls. By way of the long escalator, we arrive to the highest point of the city where the Cathedral stands in its magnificence, a spectacular example of gothic architecture, which houses artistic treasures including the stained glass windows of Marcillat and the Maddalena fresco by Piero della Francesca. Afterwards, we will visit the church of San Domenico with the famous Crucifix of Cimabue.
	H:11.30	Departure for the Fattoria of La Striscia. Visit of the winery and a tasting which includes some unique, traditional products.
	H:12.45	Departure for the Fattoria of San Fabiano. Visit of the wine cellar, tasting of wines produced by the winery and a light lunch of based on local culinary delights.
	H:14.00	Return to the city for a visit of the Basilica of San Francesco which contains the magnificent Legend of the Cross, famous fresco cycle by Piero della Francesca. Walk through the historical center and visit to the Big Square, known as the “Piazza Grande.” Visit of Pieve of Santa Maria, the most beautiful example of romanesque architecture in Tuscany. Free time for shopping.

ASSISI CORTONA	9.00	Departure from Arezzo.
	10.30	Arrival to St. Mary of the Angels, “Santa Maria degli Angeli.” Visit of the namesake church, where the Porziuncola is housed and on display. This is the first church constructed by St. Frances.
	11.00	Arrival to Assisi. Visited guide of this renowned city with a visit to the Basilica of St. Frances, which contains the frescoes of Simone Martini and Giotto, as well as a visit to the Basilica of Santa Chiara. Free time for lunch.
	15.00	Departure for Cortona.
	16.00	Arrival to Cortona and visit of the historical center with the Cathedral, the Archeological Museum, the Diocesano Museum and the antique Etruscan door known as “Porta Bifora.”
